Pontedera, October 14 – Stefano Sterpone has joined the Piaggio Group as head of the new EMEA Two-Wheeler Sales Division, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The unit covers all Group motorcycle and scooter brands and comprises the area sales divisions for Italy, Domestic Europe, MEA & Emerging Europe as well as the Derbi-Nacional Motor and Moto Guzzi companies.
Stefano Sterpone, 48, was born in Merano and holds a degree in law. He began his career in SAI Assicurazioni and in 1988 joined the Fiat Group to work in the Iveco company, where he held increasingly senior international posts including head of Eurocargo, General Manager for the Spanish and subsequently the Italian market, and from 2004 to 2008 head of worldwide Sales & Marketing.
