Pontedera, 19 July 2013 – Piaggio has been given AEO-F certification (Authorised Economic Operator – Full) by the Customs Authorities.

The AEO certificate was presented yesterday – during a meeting at the Piaggio Group offices in Pontedera – by Davide Bellosi of the Customs Agency Interregional Division for Tuscany, Sardinia and Umbria, to Piaggio Chief Financial Officer Gabriele Galli.

Piaggio’s AEO accreditation attests that it complies with all administrative, financial and customs reliability requirements as well as with the goods handling safety standards for imports and exports, in line with the community laws governing relations between private entities and the authorities responsible for controlling international trade.

As a certified Authorised Economic Operator, Piaggio will benefit from greater efficiency in the management of goods import and export flows and, through more efficient cooperation with the Customs Authorities, will be able to achieve accreditation in other countries for the reliability and safety requirements certified by its AEO status.
