The company is to supply 17,783 Piaggio Liberty 125 scooters for the mail delivery servicefor an aggregate value of approximately 30 million euro 


Piaggio & C. S.p.A. has been named as the winner of the request for electronic tenders put out at community level by Poste Italiane S.p.A. to establish a framework agreement for the supply of 17,783 motor vehicles for delivery of the mails.

The vehicles referred to in the supply contract, now being finalised in accordance with the requirements of Poste Italiane, are Piaggio Liberty 125cc scooters, high-wheel vehicles with a 4-stroke Euro3. The Liberty scooter is produced by the Piaggio Group in a Delivery version intended specifically for mail delivery, with features and accessories designed to make it a practical solution for the postal service. The overall value of the supply, including spare parts and collection of the vehicles previously used by Poste Italiane, is approximately 30 million euro + VAT.
